Systems in, Systems out; A new phrase!

I'm adding a new phrase "Systems in, Systems out" to the lexicon. Like "Garbage in, Garbage out", but meaning that Systems take many systems input and give out many systems. That is, input is systems, output is systems, processing is systems, storage is systems.

Breaking Paradoxes with Space/Time

Logicians: I’m starting to use time to break paradoxes, and I would like feedback on that, like: This clause is false sometimes, true sometimes, both sometimes and none of the above sometimes. Is the clause valid? Sometimes a clause is here, and sometimes it's there, and sometimes it's nowhere! What if Russell's Paradox had time hints as to when the barber could shave himself. What if Godel's Incompleteness Theoreom could be proved some of the time and sometimes now? Ditto with the Halting Problem. If we put time into this problems, does Paradox go away? Only partially go away? Never go away?

Reality Development and Maintenance System

In the Beginning there was nothing, void, 0. Then a step was taken to 1. Then addition was created, and there was another 1, then 2, up the Fibonnacci sequence. Then 1 dimension or axis was created. This was original reality. I don't know how the second dimesion was created, but I'm guessing God said, "Let there be light." Light is a wave and a particle. Light traveled in straight lines, and had a rotating curve to it, which allowed God to see in two other dimensions. The photons took a while to traverse the dimension, so time was created to measure it. Thus reality was created. Then god used God's imagination to create other things in this reality, found in Genesis in the Bible. God created branches on trees by adding additional axes on plants, possibly using L-systems. Finally God decided to create O'man. O'man had a desire to understand the universe, so God gave O'man the capability for languages. These were the first categories, sets, classes, and types came from. The idea of plurals or more than instance in a class (after the steps) was created. Language was the first metasystem. O'man did not have a name for God. God did not know is his name, so when O'man asked God, God said nothing. O'man said, I will call you YHWH if that's okay with you. God said ok. Names or symbols became the basis for imagination and identification. O'man gave himself a name, and all the animals names. There was both a class name, and an instance name to all things. O'man looked at the trees God had planted in the garden, and decided that the branching was a good way to structure language. O'man created language (instance) and metalanguage or grammar (class), to describe hierarchical instances and classes (collections). This was the basis for multiple dimensions in imagination. Then O'man desired more complexity. O'man said to God, I'm lonely, can we have another one of me, like the animals? God created Woman. O'man and Woman created children. Soon, all the people were chatting and communication networks called "clouds" were invented, because they went through the air. God created the first eco-system, and O'man created the first communication network, following the ideas of trees. Then O'man saw how people communicated, and he realized that the branches on the tree could join again after they split. O'man saw that God created these multiply connected networks in animal biology. O'man thought what else can we create with these networks? O'man started creating electrical circuits which transmitted light, or electromagnetism. Then either Jon Von Neumann or the people created the stored program concept, modelled after recipes. That was the first sequential program. Then they realized that different virtual paths could be created in the instructions based on certain states or conditions. O'man gave a name to these memory state and called the name variables. Then he named the list of instructions by a name and called it theorem/function. O'man decided that these things could be parameterized by passing states into functions. O'man realized that the lists of instructions could be repeated, and O'man called these things "loops." Then O'man realized he could call functions from other functions. Then recursion was developed where a function could call itself. Thus stacks were create to save state of where the previous function was before the call was made, so it could be restored. Then O'man realized that state could be returned from a function. The first program was made and name. O'man started running programs on the electromagnetic system or computer. Then O'man said, what if I had more than one computer that could communicate over a network? The first "internet" was created. O'man had more ideas, and wanted the computer to run more than one program. Multithreading was invented. Running the class of program more than one at a time was calls processes. For the programs to communicate, interprocess communication was developed, including message passing, semaphores and shared memory. Thus the computer systems were developed. Then more work came in, and O'man had to plan how to run all these new "jobs" on the computer. Capacity Planning Systems came to be. O'man needed a way to communicate with these computers so input/output devices were invented for the computer. Programs were modified to deal with the devices. There was competition for devices, so operating systems were created to protect the devices. Men started communicating over the computer network. The network operating system was developed. These systems needed to be maintained, the language network and the network operating system. More jobs were created. More systems and networks were created. More virtual and augmented realities were created. More babies were born. Then O'man said, I want to transfer systems and networks across the network. So virtual machines and virtual networks wer created. Meanwhile, the mathematicians were inventing more uses of the computer. From addtion, they created subtraction, multiplication and division. Thus negative, floating point, and rational numbers were create. Then O'man discovered the circle, and transcendental and real numbers were created. Then O'man said, how can we transmit our imagination? The first imaginary dimension was created. from square roots of negative numbers. Then O'man said, what could we do with imaginary dimension. Quaternions and Octnions were created. Then dot product and cross product were invented. Matrices and vertices were used to describe discreteness in the various dimensions. This required a lot of thinking, so O'man decided to break up the problem into specializations, or classes. Then O'man was working with numbers, and he sait to himself, how many digits should we have in a number system. O'man realized that base 1 number systems were the most primitive (counting) and the that binary systems could represent any integer. May extend this to base 10 and base 60 numbers. Then O'man realized he could have base complex (imaginary and real) numbering systems. Then O'man realized he could have base reality or base universe number systems. Thus O'man started doing math on universes. O'man wanted to network these various universes, so he started creating TARDISes and Merkabahs to travel between univeres. A network of universes was created. A language of universes was created. A system of universes was created. However, O'man had lost touch with God. Where was God in all of this? How could O'man communicate with God? Enter Ursula K Le Guin and her idea of an Faster Than Light ansible network. Now O'man could communicate interuniversally and intraversally. But O'man said, how can we travel across and between universes? Thus spacecraft was invented. We went to the Moon and Mars. We needed food in space, so replicators were invented. Then we decided, we want to transfer our consciousness and bodies across and out of ansible networks. Thus transporter were invented to travel to and between spaceships. Computers only had punched card outputs. Then people realized they could use light machines, or cathode ray tubes to display language on a screen. Vector, Raster and Character displays were created, matching Movies, Shapes and Symbols. The mouse and keyboard were invented for input devices. But where was God? Where is Heaven but above us? Some people thought that they were God, so there was mass confusion between religions. Some said there was only one God and others said there was many gods. The mathematicians decided to create a number system out of religions, creating real religions (denominations) and imaginary religions (cults). Thus there was mass confusion among the religions. People were saying, what started all of this? The mathematicians said "whole numbers" People said, we should create holistic, ordered religions. Mathematicians created base religion numbering systems. The numbers were used as keys on the computer to create new religions and new realities and new belief systems. Angels came to Jacob and showed him the ladder to Heaven. Then other religions wanted a ladder to God. The dartboard with 3 darts were invented to build multiple ladders to God. There was one bullseye. Dante wrote the Divine Comedy about the dartboards. People took the dartboards and created other coordinate system. They laid the dartboard across the earth and create longitude and latitude. Then they realize that the coordinate system was a targetting system laid out on earth. Thus GPS and missiles were invented. The aliens landed on earth and put a Stargate at the south pole, so O'man could travel to other planets. The humans mined the center of the earth, and built a place for Dark (Matter,Energy,Light) and Evil to live in. The Earth became a Klein bottle of sorts. Then John invented the Revelation, "The End is Near," Reality Destruction System and the Vogons came. However, the Vogons only destroyed in the imaginary realities, since they were imaginary. New imaginary relaties were created with Digit Reality Creators, which create jobs for Vogons. After the Vogons kept destroying Earth, O'man realized they needed a Reality Defense and Maintenance System. Thus O'man made his bed, brushed his teeth, combed his hair, shaved, sang songs, played music, meditated, did yoga -- created a Reality Maintenance System. But the Vogons kept attacking. O'man set up a missile defense system, but the Vogons shot the missiles out of the air with lasers. O'man realized he needed a variety of weapons. So he wrote generators. The first generator was the hyper dimensional gun, and attacked the Vogons with hyperdimensional gun. The Vogons copied it. Then O'man invented the statistical or stochastic gun. The Vogons copied. Thus ended the first war. Then O'man came up with the chaotic gun. The Vogons copied. Then O'man came up with quantum gun. The Vogons copied. There was standstill. The weapons were used for both offense and defense. O'man realized he could have both orderly and disorderly weapons, at least three classes, language, physics, and emotion. The Vogons had the worst language (poetry) and were the most emotionally disgusting. So O'man attempted to create the most orderly language and a wide variety of physical weapons, solid, liquid, gas, and exercise. Finally O'man created the most coherent and orderly emotions, as well as orderly art and music. The Vogons were overwhelmed. Hurrah!

A Theory of Time (and possibly space): Part 2

So beyond doilies and clouds, we have Apollonian Gaskets (it's real apparently, look it up). That is, fractal circles and fractal spheres (ellipses and ellipsoids?). One can consider fractal Merkabah beyond Sierpinksi! But can you find a building with fractal star tetrahedron architecture?

Generating functions, Part 2: Emitters and Collectors

I've been considering declarative ways to describe Emitters and Collectors of not only particles, as in particle systems, but also as fluids. One can think of brooms and crowds as particle systems. (Thanks, Doug Sanden)

Humanity as Media, Part 2

What if not only humanities way to create continuous or analog experiences, we considered fluid media. How might humanity be fluid or chaotic? What is fluid or chaotic game theory? I've been studying collaborative game theory--this seems to apply to massive systems like Facebook.

Humanity as a Media

If society (mesh) is a collection of communities, and community (polygon) is a collection of relationships, and relationships (edges) are between 2 individuals (vertices), what is a differential, smooth, or continuous community or relationship? "No bumps"? Is there something in differential or continuous game theory which addresses this?  Is there a reason humanity and the math that describes them somehow related? Is learning society through geometry a good idea? Would it be better to learn something more analog alongside our discrete options for human interactions? Let's throw my Facebook community a curve, surface, volume, or hypervolume. I'm starting to see more and more that humanity, is indeed described by shapes. Perhaps humanity is a new form of media, alongside symbol, movie and shape. Hypersocieties? Fractal societies? I guess I should have spent more time in cultural geography.

A different type of slit experiment using a cross slit, or horizontal and vertical slits (or opposing diagonal slits).

Differential Set
Continuous Hierarchy
Smooth Collection
This is my attempt at materialize Plato's Theory of Forms (as I understand it). It is also the beginning of signal computer. When we measure a signal, it either ends up being analog or digital, because we cannot measure superposition. However, if the digital and analog are along separate axes, then we *might* be able to measure the superposition. This is the theory of steps and rails. If the light experiment slits form a cross, what happens?
FormFunctionClass
StructureChange, BehaviorObject, Thing, Animation
DiscreteContinuousCurve
DigitalAnalogSignal
ParticleWaveSuperposition
StepRailCoordinate System
CDRecord
This is my cross system. My next system will be a cross and post system. WOPR, how about a friendly game of jacks?

Generating functions.

Generators create steps. Iterators take steps. What creates rails? Parametric functions? Hmm. It would seem like a generator (function) that creates curves and surfaces and volumes and hypervolumes (all are hypershapes). The whole thing in one call. What are lambda functions? What are generators which generate hypermovies and hyperdocuments? JSP used to generate hyperdocuments. Now it seems like JavaScript generates hyperdocuments.

Smooth Collections and Fundamental Forms and Functions

I am currently focusing on "Smooth Collections" in my thinking.  These are essentially coordinate systems if you can believe it.  They are related to "Continuous Hierarchies" or "Smooth Hierarchies."  I believe this is opposed to "Tangled Hierarchies" and "Strange Loops" by Hofstadter.  I believe that my ideas may be an extension of Hofstadter, but not sure.  There are many practical examples of "smooth collections," including ladders, railroad tracks, dartboards, DNA, and the coordinate systems for the Earth. The essential ingredients are steps and rails.  I consider steps a noun/verb and rails a noun.  I am still looking for examples of "Continuous Hierarchies" in the spatial dimensions.   The movie "Next" and the book "The Golden Man" by Philip K. Dick describe continuous hierarchies in time. I almost threw Form (Structure) out with the trash until a Materialistic Christian explained what  a resource was last night. I concluded that belief was the fundamental form in the universe (you can't believe in anything else until you first believe in belief), and believe is the fundamental function.  (This follows the cult AvatarEPC, whose seminar I attended and I ended up in the hospital after attending. Ouch.).  The second fundamental function to the universe and people's religion is behave, and good behavior is the second fundamental form. Good beliefs and good behavior are the two essentials in everyone's life.  Religion is not necessary if one can create their own good beliefs and good behavior.  Create is the 3rd function and creation is the 3rd form.  I believe we do this in conjunction with a higher creator, but some people's beliefs do not require a higher creator.   This "higher power" is required if people cannot get their "behavior" and/or "beliefs" to be satisfactory to them and the universe they live (be-live) in.  I do not know if I am stuck in this believe system or not.  AvatarEPC says I am not. I am not really willing to change at this time. I would be interested in your fundamental forms and functions.  You said knowledge and goals somewhere as structure.  Know, achieve and fail might be your behavior or functions. I have not yet seriously pursued adjective or adverbs except "good."  I realize that things can be both good and bad.  It's complex. So it appears that my fundamental creation affirmation is "I believe. I behave."  Also, "I think," alongside Descartes, "I decide,"  is Harry Palmer I guess, and "I am," God, "I am first," a god named Simon Halliburton on Facebook, "I am the Alpha and the Omega", Jesus.  Your fundamental creation affirmations appear to be "I learn, my goal is to increase my knowledge," I think, but you can correct me.  Then you have to decide what knowledge you believe in, correct? Or do you?" Another affirmation is "I feel." I do not know if "I believe" or "I think" is more fundamental in my mind. I don't know if beliefs are thoughts are not.  Descartes says thinking is prior to existence.  So thoughts or beliefs in ourselves makes us pop into reality?  Hmmm. I got "I behave" from my family situation.  It may actually be "I do not behave well." Hence my illness and guilt. I believe if we return the whole universe to unity, or zero creations, then we get to re-experience creation, thus it is important to have your affirmations ready for a "universal upset" which happens after the Big Bang.  Think "Fruit Basket Upset" or "Musical Chairs" games. Listen for when the music of the universe stops.

Smooth Collections

Smooth Collections Smooth Collections are essentially coordinate systems, cartesian, polar, spherical. In reality, they take many forms: ladders, stairs, railroads, dartboards, roads with mile markers, DNA, 12-step programs (progress is a rail, higher power is a rail). There essential features are steps and rails. Steps are both verbs and nouns. Rails are nouns. Belief is a step. Reality is a rail. Nerves are a rail, and each neuron is a step. Smooth Collections are related to Continuous Hierarchies. I hazard to say that Continuous Hierarchies are made up of Smooth Collections, but I don't know of a hierarchical coordinate system. Numbers seem to be hierarchical in some ways. In a fence or firewall, the rails become posts and the steps become rails.

Artificial General Intelligence (Solved).

The important thing is to realize is that humans have limited numbers of inputs and outputs, so the key to AGI is in 1) the processing. 1) can be done with neural networks today. 2) the inputs. We need a wide range of inputs. This is not limited in time. 3) We need a wide range of outputs, but many classes of outputs per time-step. We have a limited number of outputs, but may reuse outputs over time. The important thing is to realize we can generate multiple classes of outputs in the same neural network. Also, we can have multiple classes of data on input. Is that easy enough for you? Simple and doable, except perhaps for expanding our current hardware capabilities. Merely extend your inputs and outputs and add more objects (bits) for the neural network to handle. John W Carlson

Omniversal Network

What is the communication network for the numerous universes, multiverses and metaverses? How about the Interuniversal Communication Network? What is the transportation network for the numerous universes, multiverses and metaverses? HHGTTG says "hyperspace bypass." But there are no Vogons here. Dr. Who says the vehicle is the TARDIS, but does not speak of a network. The Bible refers to Merkabah in Ezekiel 1, but does not speak of a network. What is a network of wormholes? Sounds like something in the ground made my worms. What causes neurons to grow and form networks in the brain? How about Interuniversal Transportation Network? Can we use the technology of the ansible between universes? Where is "Outside" or "Beyond" or "Heaven"? Should we use the word "Cosmos" to define all the universes, both positive, negative, origin, real and imaginary? How do we power all this? The Interuniversal Energy Network? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indra%27s_net only covers one Universe. There's something even greater out there. What is the coordinate system the Omniversal Network is in? What are the steps, rails and posts?

Neural, Chaotic, Stochastic, Quantum, Hyperdimensional/Spatiotemporal, Partial, Differential, Natural, Jargonistic, Domain-specific and Problem-oriented generators of standards, ontologies, semantics, grammar, semiotics, movies, and shapes.

Is there a theory of computer science generators? Is it called automated testing, automated programming or generative programming?

I can generate documents from grammars or schema with an existing generator, but how does one generate a generator? How does one create an ontology of generators? Is there a system for constructing generators? How does one generate graph/network data with a generator? Merely add several data points to a particular generation event? What if data points are related?

Note there apparently is a procedural generator for landscapes and planets. See No Man's Sky, the game. I now views this as 3 coherent to incoherent systems: language, physics and emotions. The question becomes, how to you predict changes in a system?

Hybridized complex continous and discrete graphs as combinations images/matrices and fields. What is a graph? A graph is a collection of nodes and arcs, with arcs (possibly directed) connecting two nodes. What is a hypergraph? A hypergraph is a collection of nodes and arcs with arcs connecting zero or more nodes. What is a matrix? A typical matrix is a table with rows and columns with values in the cells as the intersection of rows and columns. How do graphs and matrices relate? You can represent a graph as a matrix by putting all the nodes along the rows and columns of a matrix. Then the cells in the matrix are directional arcs (from row to column or vica versa). Values of the cells are weights of the arcs, or a range of weights or percentages for more than one matrix. You can represent a hypergraph as a matrix by putting all the nodes along the rows and the arcs along the columns of a matrix. Then the cells are the amount of connectivity between the arcs and the nodes. What is a digital/discrete matrix? A discrete matrix is one where there are discrete rows and columsn. What is an analog/continuous matrix or field? A continous matrix is a matrix where row and column indexes form a continuous range instead of a discrete range. The cells become fields. The simplest continuous matrix is one with one row and column, which is the cartesian coordinate system. What is a hybrid matrix? A hybrid matrix is a combination of a discrete matrix and a continuous matrix, with some rows and columns being discrete and some being continuous. Some cells are functions, some are points and some are fields. What is a continuous graph or continuous hypergraph? A continuous graph or hypergraph would be a matrix with one continuous arc and one continuous node. What is a hybrid graph or hypergraph? A hybrid graph or hypergraph is a combination of discrete and continuous graphs or hypergraphs. What is a complex analog matrix? A hyperdimensional analog matrix with complex number dimensions (imaginary dimensions). Visualization as taking an equation or graph and creating a field. Visualizing the graph can also be visualizing the image of the connectivity in the graph between nodes and arcs. Discretization as taking an image of an equation and creating the graph describing the equation (programming). In other words, the programmer has an image of the letter in their head. They convert that into physical motion pressing a key which becomes digitalized into a Unicode or ASCII value of 32 or 8 bits in the computer. What is fractional matrix? A fractional matrix is a matrix with a part of a row or column. What is a fractional graph? A fractional matrix is one with a partial node or arc. What is a chaotic matrix? One where the rows and columns and cells get mixed up over time unpredictably. What is a chaotic matrix? One where the connectivity between nodes and arcs get mixed up over time unpredictably, except by looking at an attractor. What is a grammar matrix? One where there's a graph as the rows and columns of the matrix. What is a continuous grammar? Music. Other ideas? Combined cells, intersecting or chorded cells, Universal cells, recursive cells, self-referential cells, nested nodes, nested arcs, combination node and arc, time series cells, fractal time, complex time, different views of a matrix reflecting different values of cells, or different structure.

Persistent Promises/Futures

  1. Imagine a computer system where you don't have to provide an image or other data to an app for days or perhaps weeks later, and it will keep track of it automatically.
  2. Can this be done in a framework, so that it's available on all platforms to all applications?
  3. I think it can.
  4. We need a database with RESOLVE_RESOURCE table with RESOURCE_ID, RESOURCE_TYPE, METHOD_SEQUENCE, METHOD_TYPE, HOST, USER, APPLICATION, FRAMEWORK, PACKAGE, CLASS, OBJECT, METHOD columns
  5. APPLICATIONs may want to keep their own table.
  6. METHOD_TYPEs will include FULFILL (INSERT), ERROR, POSTPONE, CANCEL, CONSUME (DELETE), UPDATE
  7. When an application starts, the RESOLVE_RESOURCE table is queried for the USER and APPLICATION. If found, the user is asked for the resources by RESOURCE_TYPE. The user may select a processing METHOD_TYPE for the resource.
  8. METHOD_TYPE and RESOURCE_ID wilL be combined into a TOKEN or TICKET
  9. When a method sequence is run for a particular TICKET, each METHOD is called in an application on a host for a particular user. METHOD is passed TICKET and a resource. METHOD returns a METHOD_TYPE. If returned METHOD_TYPE = initial METHOD_TYPE, the METHOD_SEQUENCE is removed then the method sequence continues.
  10. If the returned METHOD_TYPE is UPDATE, the promise stays around, and the METHOD_TYPE is not changed in the database. The resource has been provided.
  11. If the initial METHOD_TYPE is UPDATE, the returned METHOD_TYPE replaces the initial METHOD_TYPE.
  12. METHOD_SEQUENCEs are partially ordered.
  13. When an application wants a resource and it's not fulfilled, the application can put a POSTPONE record in the table with a METHOD callback.
  14. if a user selected ERROR or CANCEL, the METHOD_SEQUENCE is removed for that RESOURCE_ID.
  15. This needs more work, especially a security review. Please help!
